If you're looking for a unique way to express your artistic self, consider trying Storybird. This awesome online site lets you create a story with artwork that has been designed by professional artists. First, you choose the artwork to illustrate your story (from lots of amazing images), and then you rearrange those images so that they tell a story. Of course, you can add your own words to each page. Best of all, it's free to sign up! Then, be sure to publish your work to see a final copy... and to share with others if you'd like! Create one to send to a friend. Create one to submit for an innovative class assignment. Create one and become a published author today!

Happy creating!

Getting Started (again?) with EasyBib!

Have you used EasyBib? If you've used it in the past, welcome back. If not, welcome to a great tool that will help you write awesome papers! There's lots to explore.

You can use EasyBib with each step of the writing process. Not only can you cite your sources with EasyBib, you can also take notes and organize your research, as well as learn more about effectively evaluating websites.

Step 1: Create an EasyBib account while you are at DHS! The first time your register and create your account, you must be at school on our wireless network because EasyBib needs to know you are a DHS student. (EasyBib is free to you, but not to everyone : )

Step 2: Once you have created your account at school, you can then log into EasyBib from anywhere at anytime! Just go to www.easybib.com and log in with the user name and password you used to create your account.

Step 3: Get started! EasyBib helps you research, organize, take notes, and cite your sources! Writing papers has never been quite this easy...

If you have a question or need help getting started, don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome and Welcome Back!

It's that time! I'm excited to start the new school year at Dartmouth High School! I would like to introduce myself to all of you (students, faculty, and staff), and I hope that you will help me become acquainted with the way things happen here at DHS.

My name is Mrs. Zanconato, but you can call me Mrs. Z : )  I love being a librarian and library media specialist, so I am especially thrilled to be here and to get started at the Library Media Center.

I am interested in hearing from all of you. What do you like to read? What do you like to do in your spare time? What's your favorite music group? What are your plans after high school? How do you use technology and social media? Please share your ideas with me so that we can work to create a Library Media Center that is all about you!

Good luck with your new classes! I know you'll all be fabulous : ) Please stop in to say hi, and be sure to tell me why you love DHS!
