eBooks, eBooks, eBooks!

The Dartmouth High School Library Media Center is a member of the Commonwealth eBook Collections Program.

The Commonwealth eBook Collections program is brought to you by the Massachusetts Library System in partnership with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and participating libraries and is funded, in part, by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services. This is a consortium of libraries that pool their funding and share access to a large collection of eBooks (fiction and nonfiction).

Click the links below to get started. You can read on the computer, on your tablet/e-reader or your phone!

Axis360 by Baker & Taylor

CLICK HERE to search and browse Axis360

You will need to create an account to check out eBooks. Your user name will be your 14-digit patron ID (Yes, you already have one! You probably didn't know that!) and your Aspen password. Here is how your 14-digit ID is structured:
  • All Dartmouth High School students' IDs start with the same 8 digits (23093000). They end with your personal 6-digit ID number that you use to check out books and laptops in the library and to get lunch in the cafeteria.
  • If my 6-digit ID is 012345, then my 14-digit ID is:
    23093000012345 (made up of 23903000 + 012345).
  • So to create your account, type 23093000 and then type your 6-digit ID number. Your password is your Aspen password.
Axis360 has an app for most platforms/devices.
Click here to get the app for your tablet or phone.

Once you have downloaded the app and logged in,
you'll be able to search, browse, and check out books from your device.

If you would like to download an item, you will need to use your 14-digit ID number (see instructions above).

You will need to create an account before you can start using EBL. Just like JSTOR, you need to create your account at school (using our wifi's IP address). After that, you will be able to access your account anywhere.

If you have questions about searching the eBook collections, visit us in the library for assistance. Or email Ms. Lawrence at

Teachers who need assistance locating their 14-digit patron ID# and password should contact Ms. Lawrence
